Relating Keynesian Stimulus to tax cuts is complete ignorance. Tax cuts do not equate to the government giving people money. Also, Bush II tax cuts were not supply side because they expire after 2010. Supply side tax cuts are permanent (as JFK said in this clip). Also, tax rebate checks (which Bush II used multiple times) are not supply side, they are Keynesian because it is the government giving people money and calling it a tax rebate, it is not a permanent tax cut.

They aren't really using their equity, but rather other people's money. Equity is a claim against assets; here that is initially the $1m building, then the $200k interest that came in for total $1.2m. Also, in the purest sense, the interest is payment for matching up people's savings with borrowers and assuming all risks, as still owe savers their money + promised interest.

Your model has one flaw. It appears you make the assumption it is a very balanced, closed-loop economy with GDP based on only the speed of money flow and negates profits and consumables. What happens when households buy apples? They pay for them with money, then consume the apples and are left with no more value. If the firms didn't have profits, eventually the system would collapse. In order for there to be any growth, profits must be greater than consumption.

Hey Schiff, Sweden here ;) I like your opinion and it reminds me of a discussion I had with a fellow accountant a few years back where he just as you proposed a sole consumption tax. I pointed out that people will be able to buy things outside of the country and not pay tax. Here in Sweden we've got very high taxes but that's not the main issue, as an example I take the booze tax, people drive from Sweden to Germany (~800km) just to buy booze there to avoid the tax. The GDP stands at $11.3trillion (excl. spending), and we have 3/4(approx. $8.5trillion) of the economy based on consumption. With a consumption-tax of 10 % would generate about $850 billion, what is somewhere between $250 and $300 billion less revenue compared to the income tax. It's not a big difference, but a smarter way to collect money in a harmonized fashion. Besides, 10 % is way below average if you compare it to Canada, and European countries which have a rate of 15-20 and 25 %.

Thanks lyslenky, the retained earnings statement is often included as part of income statment (esp. when not many share classes) and shows the change in retained earnings based on that period's income, less the dividends paid out. Many textbooks do not refer to, and often not used in analysis, and theoretically of value only in more complex companies. Why are you making this so complicated. Why don't you use proper accounting terminology. Assets Liabilitys Income Expences and Capital these are basic terms. You have to understand how these things relate to one another before you refer to them by esoteric names. They have to understand the concept of double entry bookeeping. Economics can not teach what ought to be but what is. To preface the rest of my argument, I must say that the State is NOT the monopoly of coercion but the initiation of coercion gained suasion. Given the economic teachings of Mises regarding the State's divorce of income from assessed productivity, the State continuously misapplies coercion as you well know. The State Does Not Exist. There is always Anarchy. Is coercion defensive or offensive? Is propriety/society sustainable or unsustainable?

My concern, of course is liberty. While I can embrace anarcho-capitalism completely from a theoretical basis, I cannot discard my pragmatic concerns (particularly because pragmatism is such an obvious refutation of utopian socialism). Mises regarded (as I do) economics as a science of human action that can inform but does not determine what "should" result. His economic arguments against socialism were in reference to its practical impossibility.

you're wrong. Terminal velocity is a function of cross-sectional area and fluid viscosity. You can't force a penny or a bullet to go flat / maximize surface area vs the down direction for maximal fluid resistance. The penny and the bullet are shaped to do the opposite. I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews (dot) net It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. There is software im using to send atleast 30,000 text message a day advertising my online business...it is amazing. If I could possibly have my own money, this would be mine, in a couple of minutes, but unfortunatly im only 15 years old and I dont have any money to spend. But I promise to myself that until im 18 I will always study this laws of prosperecty, and when I make my 18 years nothing will stop me.
